The cheapest ticket from Bengaluru to Prayagraj available on a travel website during this period is Rs 12,374 for February 25. The most expensive ticket, priced at Rs 54,351, is available for January 27. These prices are around 1.5 to 7.5 times higher than typical ticket prices in March and April.</p>.<p>Some airlines have increased the flights during this period. His agency is currently offering a two-day package. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Punya T Patel, director of Ganganagar-based Susheel Holidays and Forex, has been receiving 100-plus calls about Kumbh Mela, since mid-January. “More than two-thirds of the calls are for tours to Prayagraj. We have been receiving enquiries from 20- to 80-year olds,” he adds. Their agency, which <br />provides 3-day-4-night and 4-day-5-night tours, has been seeing an increased demand for the former. </p>.<p class="bodytext">At Nagarabhavi-based Nesara Tours, 45-50 of the total 60-70 calls per day (about Kumbh Mela) are from Bengaluru. “Better accommodation and arrangements at Prayagraj have boosted numbers,” says manager Mohan Hegde. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Vinod G N from Star World Tours, Seshadripuram, is receiving around 15 calls per day. “Enquiries for Kumbh Mela are almost 1/3rd of our total calls to other places. We are also booking train tickets for travellers as airlines are charging exorbitant rates right now,” he says. Some packages include sightseeing in Varanasi, Ayodhya, Gaya and Bodh Gaya.</p>
