Last Updated 17 June 2016, 20:48 IST

The CCB police is all set to file an additional charge sheet in connection with a bomb blast near the BJP office in Malleswaram on April 17, 2013.

The CCB’s legal cell is scrutinising the charge sheet and it will be filed on Saturday, said sources in the CCB.

The police have already filed a 7,445-page charge sheet and the additional charge sheet runs into around 300 pages.

It includes names of four persons - Daniel Prakash, Jahan Aseer, Syed Ali and K Sahul alias Paravai Basha, the police said.

The dossier says Sahul obtained gelatine sticks and detonators from Prakash and gave them to his relative Panna Ismail. Police said Fakruddin, Ismail and Bilal Mallik reached Bengaluru on a bike from Coimbatore on April 16, 2013.

They parked the bike in the parking lot at KSRTC bus stand and fixed timers there, the dossier says.

They had fixed 60 minutes in the timer for the explosion, but later reduced the timing to 30 minutes as they thought it would take them just around 15 minutes to reach Malleswaram.

They left the parking lot around 9.50 am, reached Malleswaram at around 10.16 am, parked the bike and returned to Majestic by an autorickshaw. The explosion took place at 10.20 am, the dossier says.

Eighteen persons, including KSRP men, sustained injuries, while 23 vehicles and 56 houses were damaged in the blast.

The loss was estimated to be around Rs 50 lakh.  Prakash, Aseer and Ali supplied the explosives just for Rs 3,000 to ultras of the Al-Ummah organisation.  They did not even ask the purchaser reasons for the procurement of the explosives, it says.
