Diverse rhythms in sync

AIM, in association with the Alliance Française, is organising a grand fusion music of Western, jazz and Carnatic classical music by ‘Spinifex Orchestra’ (Netherlands) and Dr Suma Sudhindra’s ‘Veena Ensemble’ on January 19 at Alliance Francaise.

This unique musical collaboration brings out the best of Carnatic music and Dutch jazz. Expressive improvisations, thrilling rhythms are woven together with classy instrumentations and rich compositions of ‘Spinifex’ and Suma Sudhindra. ‘Spinifex’ is Holland’s famous Dutch jazz ensemble and Suma Sudhindra is the foremost exponent of veena of her generation
