Double murder: Youth's body found, aide held

 Lokesh, who had surrendered to the police on Tuesday evening, after killing his mother-in-law in New Bank Colony, had claimed that he had also murdered his wife’s paramour Anil, 20. 

 Subramanyapura police found Anil’s body in a shrub in the Rachamadu forest area near Nagegoudanapalya in the early hours of Wednesday morning.  The police had formed a special team, which left for Talghattapura along with the accused to search for the body. Lokesh guided the team in locating the body.

Police sources said the body bore two stab injuries. Anil, a resident of New Bank Colony, was working as a computer operator in a private firm.  Lokesh also confessed that Manoj, 23, working with a private travel agency, had helped him in the crime.

Lokesh and Manoj kidnapped Anil from near his house before killing him in the Rachamadu forest. While Lokesh went to his wife’s house to collect his belongings, Manoj waited for him at the corner of the road. Lokesh returned after hacking his mother-in-law to death.  According to the police, Lokesh was dejected over the extramarital affair of his wife Chandrakala with Anil and decided to eliminate the two. After murdering Anil, he had come to his wife’s house. When he did not find Chandrakala, he killed his mother-in-law.Subramanyapura police have arrested Manoj too.  

Rider killed

A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot in an accident in Airport traffic police limits on Tuesday night. The victim, Ashok, 26, was a driver of an earth mover vehicle, said the police.  When Ashok was riding his bike from Devanahalli towards Bhuvanahalli, a tractor driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed the bike near Chinnaswamy farmhouse. Ashok sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to Devanahalli government hospital, where he died.
