Empire group of restaurants discontinues synthetic colouring in kebabs

Bengaluru: The Empire group of restaurants has discontinued the use of synthetic colour 'Sunset Yellow FCF' in its popular kebab marinade.

In a statement, responding to the FSSAI notice on synthetic colours, the restaurant chain said that it had complied with the directive, although Sunset Yellow FCF is FSSAI-approved and widely used in the food industry.

Empire reaffirmed its commitment to food safety and hygiene, assuring customers that its signature dishes now have a “fresh, natural look” with “zero compromise” on taste and quality.
