A fraudster, who duped unemployed youth and many furniture companies to the tune of lakhs of rupees, is now cooling his heels behind the bars.
According to Banaswadi police, Sunil Devaraj Rao, 40, from Pune stayed in a rented house in HRBR Layout and claimed that he worked for Royal Bank of Scotland group of companies as a security officer. He collected money from several unemployed persons on the pretext of getting them job in the company.
Burglars held
The Amruthahalli police have arrested Murugesh, 26, of Mariyannanapalya, Suresh, 23, of Kanakanagara in Hebbal and Munikrishna alias Narasimha, 27, of Yeshawantpur on the charge of burglary. Valuables including gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 31 lakh were recovered from the arrested. The Chikkajala police have arrested Harsha alias Chappe, 20, who reportedly stole 18 two-wheelers worth Rs 12 lakh.
