Girls from DPS share top honours in Commerce

Aishwarya Ramasami, a student of the Commerce stream in Delhi Public School (South), was expecting to score around 90% but she outdid her expectations and secured 97.4% in the CBSE class 12 exams.

On her future path, she said, “I was always inclined towards Accountancy and it grew on me in the last two years.” Aishwarya has already enrolled for a Bachelor of Commerce (Professional) in Christ University. “This course is more to do with management accountancy. It is recognised worldwide so I can pursue many option when I complete the course and I will have great exposure,” she said.

Aishwarya scored 98 in English, 97 in Accountancy and Business Studies, 96 in Economics, 100 in mass media. The last few months before the board exams were crucial for her and she prepared a schedule for her subjects, even solving sample papers. “In spite of this, I took part in co-curricular activities in school. I play the guitar so I took part in inter-school competitions and I am a classical dancer, too,” she said.

Sonali Sarangi from Delhi Public South (East) scored 97.4% in Commerce. “I worked really hard and was quite hard on myself to score well,” she said.

Sonali scored 99 in English and information practices, 97 in economics and accountancy and that 98 in business studies. She said that being attentive in class, asking lots of questions and making extensive notes helped her do well. Sonali is looking forward to pursuing BBA and later an MBA, as business and accountancy are subjects she loves.
