Japanese MPs travel by Namma Metro

A five-member delegation of young Japanese parliamentarians and senior officials of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) travelled by Namma Metro on Thursday.

Officials of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited briefed the parliamentarians about the JICA funding for Namma Metro's Phase 1 and the funding requirements for Phase 2 and other metro projects being taken up by the corporation.

The dignitaries, who were invited by the Ministry of External Affairs, said they were impressed by Namma Metro and noted that Phase 2 offered excellent opportunities for the Japanese companies to participate in the project, a release from the BMRCL said.
