Karnik ties up with CSTEP to boost low-carbon building initiatives

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Rajya Nirmana Kendra (Karnik), the apex body of the government promoting cost-effective and eco-friendly buildings has entered into an agreement with the Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) to further its low-carbon development plans.

A memorandum of understanding was signed at an event here on Monday. Karnik director K N Narayana Gowda said CSTEP has taken up an initiative to analyse work done by Nirmithi Kendras in the state and outcomes in terms of climate-resilient buildings. "By examining how the interventions were helpful, we can assess what policies are required," he said.
