<p>Bengaluru: Kathak dancer Sanjana Ramesh, a disciple of Natyachaar Shweta Venkatesh, had her Rangmanch Pravesh (beginning of her professional career) at JSS Auditorium, Jayanagar on December 28. </p><p>Sanjana, a graphic designer by profession, started her training in classical dance aged seven. She trained in Kathak for six years under Natyachaar Shweta Venkatesh at Sai Arts International. </p>.Kathak exponents dance their way into Guinness World Records.<p>She has completed junior and senior grades in Kathak under KSEEB with distinction. She has also completed Praveshika Prathama in Kathak under Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, securing distinction, according to a release. </p><p>Sanjana has performed in several festivals in Udupi, Dharmasthala and Hampi, as well as in other parts of India and abroad. She also performed for dance festivals such Sai Nrityotsav, Urban Utsav, Natya Ninada, Kadambari Kalakshetra, Rashtriya Nritya Samarambha etc. </p><p>She has performed in Gayatri, Dakshina Ayodhya, Kanika Parameshwari, Kadu Malleshwara and other temples, the release said. </p><p>During her Rangmanch Pravesh, Sanjana was accompanied by Shweta Venkatesh (Padhant), Shankar Shanbhogue (Vocals), Guru Murthy Vaidya (Pakhawaj), Karthik Bhat (Tabla), Sameer Rao (Flute) and Shruti Kamath (Sitar). </p><p>The programme was attended by Shubha Dhananjay, president of Karnataka Sangeetha Nruthya Academy, Bengaluru, and Pardeep Kumar, Zonal Director, Indian Council of Cultural Relations, Bengaluru. </p>
