Minister for Health Aravind Limbavali lashed out at the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) for “behaving like a court and exceeding its limits.”

Addressing a gathering at the Lawyers’ Association Building here on Wednesday, Limbavali said he had full faith in the judiciary, but the task force was behaving arbitrarily as if it was a court. “The BMTF should work within the framework of law. Let the court decide the matter.
Yet, I am not demeaning the task force,” he said.

The Palike and BDA had agreed to widen the Hulimavu-Begur road allegedly to legalise the construction of houses by DLF, beyond the permissible limits. Although the BMTF has not registered a case against Limbavali, it has issued a notice to him, since he had recommended the widening of the road.
