A man who uploaded videos of his ex-girlfriend on the social media for breaking up with him, was booked by the city police under various sections of the Information Technology Act.
The suspect, Bhimal Dal, is a garment factory worker who was in a relationship with a 21-year-old woman who also worked at the factory as a tailor.
After a year of their relationship, the victim got to know that Dal was already married and had a child. Having felt cheated, the victim broke up with him and married a man from her native, who also worked in the city.
Enraged by this, Dal uploaded videos of his and the victim's private moments on the social media and even began circulating the videos through WhatsApp to all their common friends.
The incident came to light when the victim began receiving calls from her family and friends informing her that such a video was being circulated.
She then lodged a complaint with the Parappana Agrahara police station on Saturday.
