Man murders friend for spitting on him

Bengaluru: A 30-year-old rowdy was stabbed to death after he questioned his friend for spitting on him in Cottonpet on Wednesday.

The deceased, Sathya, was a resident of Anjanappa Garden near Cottonpet.

The police are searching for his friend Prashanth who allegedly killed him.

Sathya was standing near his house and making plans with his friends for his second daughter’s birthday party when Prashant arrived from work and spat on the footpath. A speck of spit fell on Satish and he questioned Prashanth, who did not apologise.

Sathya got angry, abused Prashanth and came out with a hockey stick to beat him up.

Childhood friends

In a fit of rage, Prashanth went home, brought a knife, stabbed Satya in the chest and fled from the spot, the police said.Satya and Prashant were childhood friends and were listed as history-sheeters at Cottonpet police station.

The duo was released 15 days ago on bail in connection with a dacoity case. The police said they had a misunderstanding over some financial issue.
