Manipur youth killed as car hits bike

A 22-year-old man from the Northeast was killed when a car collided head-on with his bike on 12th main road in Indiranagar on Tuesday night.

Sungnem Bunghong, a native of Manipur who worked at an apparel showroom in Indiranagar, was riding back home with his friend Senthil on the pillion when the car hit his motorcycle head-on. The duo sustained injuries and fell off the bike. The man who was driving the car, Ahluwalia, took them to a private hospital where Bunghong succumbed to injuries on Wednesday morning. Senthil is out of danger, the police said, adding that a complaint had been registered and Ahluwalia arrested.
