<p>Bengaluru: The Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM), Bengaluru, is marking its Diamond Jubilee with the launch of a new 'Fun Science' gallery — an interactive space designed to make science playful, accessible, and engaging for young minds.</p>.<p>"We want to make science fun and interesting for children; we do not want them to fear it,” said Cyril Babu, one of the museum’s curators.</p>.<p>The gallery features puzzles, games, and challenges that present scientific concepts through hands-on, gamified learning. Unlike traditional exhibits, Fun Science encourages curiosity and critical thinking through play.</p>.Bengaluru museums transform into dynamic learning spaces .<p>To commemorate the milestone, a memorial lecture titled 'Sir MV: The Legendary Nation Builder' will be delivered by Shivaprasad Khene, Member of the NCSM Society and former VITM Director.</p>.<p>Drawing on rare archival material from the museum’s 2011 exhibition on Sir M Visvesvaraya’s 150th birth anniversary, the lecture will explore his contributions to water engineering, urban planning, and institution-building.</p>.<p>The official diamond jubilee event will be held on Sunday, when the new gallery will be inaugurated.</p>.<p>Prof Govindan Rangarajan, Director of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), will be the chief guest. Ingit Kumar Mukherjee, former DG of NCSM, and Dr B Venkatraman, Chairman of VITM’s Executive Committee, will also attend.</p>.<p>Established in 1965 as a tribute to Sir M Visvesvaraya, VITM has grown into one of India’s most-visited science museums.
