Dr RG Nadadur, Principal Secretary, Department of Primary Education, said: “The government has not declared a holiday on Friday. However, the local districts head are vested with powers to declare holidays at the local level, whereas at the government level, Friday will remain a working day.”
The State government has left it to the school managements to decide on declaring holiday on Friday. However, there is no holiday for colleges or for government offices.
