The High Court on Wednesday reserved its order on a petition filed by former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy for quashing of an FIR registered against him by the Lokayukta police.

M S Mahadevaswamy, a resident of Chamarajanagar, had made a private complaint to the Lokayukta about denotification of 2.24 aces of land in Halagevaderahalli to form Banashankari 5th Stage when Kumaraswamy was chief minister in 2007.

But Kumaraswamy contended that the complaint was “politically motivated and filed with mala fide intention to harass and humiliate the him”. Justice H Billappa has reserved the order.
