<p>Police are waiting for the post-mortem report to establish the cause of death of the wife of a senior scientist, who has been booked for murder.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Dharmesh (38), a senior scientist working for Shell Global Solutions was nabbed yesterday for allegedly killing his wife by slapping her in course of an argument.<br /><br />Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration of a function, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East division) P S Harsha said, "it was on flimsy grounds that Dharmesh slapped his wife. We are waiting for the post-mortem report to establish the cause and reason for death. We will look into all circumstances. We are awaiting the results of the scientific analysis. We have registered a case under the IPC", he said.<br /><br />According to the police, 37-year-old Mahalakshmi, a native of Mumbai and working as a teacher in a Montessori school here, died after the scientist slapped her in their flat on the night of March 10.</p>
