<p>Bengaluru: Nearly 200 people, under the banner of the All-India Students' Association (AISA), protested against the alleged violation of ceasefire by Israel in Gaza.</p>.<p>The protest followed the recent killing of civilians in the Gaza Strip, including women, children, emergency unit volunteers, and journalists.</p>.<p>The demonstration took place at Freedom Park on Friday evening.</p>.<p>Despite police intervention at the beginning over the display of Palestinian flags, the protest continued with songs, poetry readings, and speeches by activists and student leaders.</p>.Trump, hosting Netanyahu, urges end to Gaza war, thinks that is not 'too distant'.<p>Aratrika Dey, a member of AISA, said that the protest was aimed at highlighting the “unabated violation of ceasefire in the Gaza Strip after Donald Trump became the US President”.</p>.<p>She said that over 50,000 civilians in Gaza have been killed, including more than 17,000 children. “As of now, 90% of the Gaza population has been displaced. In the recent escalation, more than 500 children have died,” she said.</p>.<p>Aratrika added that Gaza was also subject to scholasticide, as no educational institution in Gaza is functional at the moment.</p>
