Rotary opens health centre at Bidadi

 Rotary Club of Bangalore Cantonment, in association with Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital (RMCH), inaugurated a Rural Health Centre at Kakaramanhalli in Bidadi hobli, off Mysore Road, on Thursday.

The centre will provide medical facilities and treatment to the needy in and around villages on a sustained basis. Basic medicines will also be provided free of cost, according to press release. RMCH will provide a team of doctors and nursing staff and run the health centre.

Rotary Bangalore Cantonment has been associated with the villages around Nelligudda area in Bidadi hobli for the last 25 years and has built nearly 100 low-cost shelters. It has conducted numerous health camps, vocational training for local villagers and formed self-help groups for women and provided micro credit to empower women.

Rotary District Governor Rtn Manjunath Shetty, Dr Ramachandra, Medical Director, RMCH, Rtn Jasbir S Dhody, president of Rotary Club, were present at the inaugural function.
