<p>Bengaluru: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has recovered a stolen mobile phone using the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal, according to the South Western Railway (SWR). </p>.<p>On April 27, a woman train passenger reported the loss of her OnePlus 10R handset on the 139-RailMadad portal. </p>.<p>The complaint was forwarded to the RPF Cyber Cell, Bengaluru, and the device was blocked on the CEIR portal. IMEI tracking revealed that a new SIM card was used in the phone. </p>.<p>Following this lead, a team led by the RPF inspector from the Bengaluru city railway station attempted to locate the person at the given address, but the suspect was not found. </p>.<p>The RPF team did not give up. </p>.<p>On May 18, the SIM card user voluntarily handed over the phone at the RPF station, Bengaluru city. He informed the authorities that an unknown person had brought the device to his shop for repair. The device was returned to the woman passenger the next day, the SWR said. </p>
