Silk Board-KR Puram stretch to get a fix after visit by senoir officials

Bengaluru: Senior government officials and ORRCA representatives drove through the Outer Ring Road from Silk Board Junction to KR Puram on Thursday morning, identifying infrastructure challenges and actionable solutions. 

According to the ORRCA, the following actions were identified for implementation: making the ORR pothole-free, completion of pipeline work, traffic management and removal of encroachments. 

The BBMP committed to carrying out regular road maintenance and timely repairs, while the BWSSB promised to restore dug-up roads overnight and complete the pipeline work by the end of this month, ORRCA said. 

The traffic police will take crack down on illegal parking on service roads and footpaths to reduce congestion, and the BBMP will clear unauthorised structures.

The BMRCL stated that the KR Pura-Silk Board metro
line was on track for completion by June 2026, ORRCA added.
