<p>Bengaluru: Breaking its own record, the University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE)'s 776 students, 2025 batch, have found placement.</p>.<p>As per the details shared by the UVCE, last year, the placement was 84% and this time, it is 86.14% with the highest package of Rs 28.5 lakh per annum (pa) from core electronics domain. This is the last batch of students passing out under UVCE with the college status as it has become the University.</p>.<p>"Compared to last year, the number of candidates registered for placements this year had increased from 486 to 744 and this batch received a total of 776 job offers, marking a 23.5% increase from previous year," said Dilip Kumar S M, Training and Placement Officer, UVCE.</p>.<p>Looking at the branch-wise package, IT branches received Rs 9.75 lakh pa and core branches like Electrical, Electronics and Communications received Rs 7.77 lakh pa, Mechanical, and Civil engineering received Rs 5.28 pa and Rs 4.62 lakh pa respectively. The placement percentage is increasing every year at the UVCE. During 2023, the placement percentage was 80%, in 2024 it increased to 84% and this year it is 86.14%.</p>
