On the occasion of World Water Day on Thursday, Beautiful Bengaluru, an NGO, launched the 'Minimum Water Challenge' with the aim of making residents take serious note of water usage.

They urged the citizens to measure the minimum amount of water they can use to wash hands, face, brush, shave and bathe.

The people have been encouraged to share their minimum usage achievements in these categories either on the facebook.com/BeBeautifulBengaluru or mail bebeautifulbengaluru@gmail.com to get featured amongst the city's top water savers.

Through this contest under #MinimumWaterChallenge, the Beautiful Bengaluru is trying to make the point that people use far more water than necessary.

The organisation through this challenge is advocating habits like the low flow and closing the tap when not in use.
