<p>Bengaluru: A woman fed rat poison to her toddler daughter and attempted suicide in western Bengaluru, the police said on Thursday.</p><p>The one-year-eight-month-old girl died at the hospital, while the mother, Chandrika, 24, is undergoing treatment and is safe.</p><p>The police said that the incident occurred on July 29 at their home in Thigalarapalya, reportedly due to monetary and family-related stress.</p><p>Based on a complaint by her husband, Lokesh, 41, a murder case has been registered against Chandrika.</p>.Samay Raina announces nationwide tour post 'India's Got Latent' row, first show to be in Bengaluru.<p>Lokesh told the police that their elder son, 6, lives with his maternal grandmother in Koratagere, while he works in various garment factories in Bengaluru.</p><p>Chandrika stayed home to care for their daughter, and the couple often argued over financial and domestic issues. “Recently, she had told me that if she and the children were not looked after properly, she would kill them and then die,” Lokesh said.</p><p>On July 29, Chandrika called Lokesh around 3 pm, asking him to rush home. When he arrived, she was vomiting. She told him she had consumed poisoned tea and fed it to their daughter as well, the FIR stated.</p><p>Lokesh took both to the hospital immediately. The child died the next morning, the police said.</p>
