<p>A 22-year-old youth was hacked to death by a group of four to five men after a fight over a cricket match on Sunday evening in a playground near Mahalakshmi Layout.</p>.<p>The deceased is Manikanta alias Doddakattu, a resident of Sriramanagar in Mahalakshmi Layout.</p>.<p>A senior police official said Manikanta was unemployed and had dacoit cases against him. While playing cricket, the group fought over a trivial issue. Later, a rival gang came to the spot around 6 pm and hacked Manikanta to death.</p>.<p>The Mahalakshmi Layout police have picked up several people for questioning.</p>
