Bisile Ghat closed for traffic

The Bisile Ghat road in the district has been closed for vehicular traffic following multiple landslides in the ghat on Sunday evening.

Boulders have slipped on the Sakleshpur-Bisile-Kukkesubramanya route. With heavy showers triggering landslides in Bisile, the connecting road between Bengaluru and Mangaluru has been shut for traffic and now, the only route available is Charmadi Ghat. It may be mentioned that as Shiradi Ghat road was closed for traffic, the vehicles were diverted through Bisile and Charmadi routes.
