The Central Election Committee of BJP on Sunday decided to field S I Chikkanagoudar from Kundgol and Avinash Jadhav from Chincholi (SC reserved) Assembly constituencies, the byelections for which are scheduled on May 19.
Avinash is the son of Umesh Jadhav, who recently quit Congress and contested against Congress’ Mallikarjun Kharge in Gulbarga parliamentary constituency. April 29 is the last day for filing nomination papers.
