BSY refused to comment on political issues, visits MCC employees on strike

Mysuru: Former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa declined to comment on political issues, in Mysuru, on Friday.

In reply to a question by the press, on the issue of chief minister change in the Congress in Karnataka, Yediyurappa said, “Let’s not discuss political matters here. It is not appropriate to talk about that”.

Yediyurappa was visiting Sri Chamundeshwari Devi Temple, atop the Chamundi Hill in Mysuru.

He spoke only on his visit to the temple. “The month of Ashada is special. Special pujas and rituals are being performed for Goddess Chamundeshwari.

"We visited the temple with our family members. I prayed to Goddess Chamundeshwari for the well-being of the people of the state. May there be good rains and crops, and may the land prosper. I have prayed to the Goddess for everyone's well-being”.

However, Yediyurappa, along with his son and Shivamogga MP B Y Raghavendra, visited the striking employees of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), whose protest against the State government, demanding equal treatment on par with government employees, entered the 4th day.

He assured the MCC employees of his support and promised to urge the government to fulfill their demands.
