CM extends help to poor

When Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy visited Mangaluru to take part in various programmes, he listened to the grievances of the people who met him and also provided solution to their problems.

He listened to the woes of senior citizens, women and students who were waiting for him at the venue of the programmes.

He directed the deputy commissioner to respond to the problems that can be solved at the local level and asked a few to visit him in Bengaluru.

When Pushpa, a native of Koppala now settled in Akashabhavana in Mangaluru approached him seeking financial assistance to treat her ailing daughter, the chief minister directed the DC to submit an estimate for the treatment of Sushmitha, Pushpa's daughter.

Sushmitha, a PU student at Besant College in Mangaluru had won several awards in sports. Pushpa showed her daughter’s meritorious certificates to the chief minister.

When Shobha, a resident of Meramajalu in Bantwal taluk informed the chief minister that the gram panchayat has cleared her dwelling and she is left with no home, the chief minister directed the officials to respond to her woes immediately.

A retired teacher sought employment for his son and the chief minister listened to him patiently.
