<p class="bodytext">Following his doctor’s advice, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has decided to hold Janata Darshan once a month, said a release from the Chief Minister’s Office.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Kumaraswamy had officially launched Janata Darshan on September 1.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He had said that he will hold the public grievance meeting every Saturdays at his home office Krishna.</p>.<p class="bodytext">While he gave the meeting a miss the very next week, he held the Janata Darshan at Belagavi last Saturday (September 15).</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Chief Minister’s Office has now said that Janata Darshan will be conducted once a month in Bengaluru and a district headquarter alternatively. The date and place for the next Janata Darshan are yet to be announced. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Ironically, both Janata Darshan and Grama Vastavya (village stay) programmes, which had gained popularity during Kumaraswamy’s previous stint as chief minister, seem to be jinxed.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Kumaraswamy has undergone two heart surgeries. Soon after his second surgery - a few months before the Assembly elections, he announced that he will not take up the village stay programme, citing that he was susceptible to respiratory infections.</p>.<p class="bodytext">According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Kumaraswamy developed fever after both the recent Janata Darshan programmes.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Sources said that senior cardiologist C N Manjunath, who also happens to be his family doctor, had advised him to reduce the frequency of Janata Darshans, as it is taking a toll on him.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Kumaraswamy is said to be meeting nearly 2,000 to 3,000 people during each<br />public grievance meeting.</p>
