Cong ZP member campaigns for BJP hubby

Family and politics make strange bedfellows. Susheelamma, the wife of BJP candidate for Bellary LS constituency Devendrappa, has been elected to the Zilla Panchayat on Congress ticket. However, she is now busy soliciting votes for her husband.

"The political future of my husband is more important that my ZP membership. Therefore, I am seeking votes for my husband," Susheelamma said.

She said that though her family owed allegiance to the Congress, her husband had not been recognised. Devendrappa had recently said that his joining BJP implies that his wife too has joined the party.
