<p>The petitioners had moved the High Court stating that the admission process remains a secret, as the schools never state reasons for rejecting the students. <br /><br />Observing that education has been commercialised, the petioners submitted that meritorious students and those hailing from weaker sections of the society do not have place. <br /><br />Pointing out that the petitioners had given a representation to the Principal Secretary, Department of Primary Education, to issue appropriate order to bring in transparency in the process of selection and allotment of seats and criteria for selection. <br /><br />The division bench comprising Justice N K Patil and Justice A S Bopanna has directed the State government to consider the representation of petitioners.</p>
