He was speaking at the inauguration of a cultural forum and day-long programme on legal awarenesss at D Banumaiah PU College here on Tuesday.
Sandesh recalled the fight against corruption undertaken by Anna Hazare. He said thousands of youngsters participated in the anti-corruption crusade. Corruption, caste and crime are ruling our country and we need to work towards eliminating them from our country.
He urged students to be disciplined, hardworking, committed, simple and have a sense of time to succeed in life. They should never think about working against the society, he added. Even though many people are worried about the rising population, it is an advantage in the form of human resources.
If resources are utilised efficiently, the country can develop at a faster pace. Everybody should know about the law. Children below the age of 18 years are nowadays riding motorcycles, which is not permissible under the law.
Parents and elders should correct the youth when they commit mistakes, he added.
Principal senior civil judge C R Raja Somashekar, Banumaiah institution’s honorary secretary Prof P V Narahari, administrative officer Dr N Thimmaiah and others were also present.
