<p>Tarikere: A couple Lingadahalli in Tarikere was allegedly banned from a community for supporting their daughter in marrying her love interest.</p><p>The girl who belonged to the Bhovi community of SC, and a boy from the Adikarnataka community were seeing each other and decided to marry.</p><p>As the girl's parents agreed and performed their daughter's marriage, the people from the Bhovi community allegedly banned the family.</p><p>Jayamma and Venkatesh couple have four daughters and a son. She said that nobody in the community is speaking to the family and are not inviting them to any function. When the couple visited a temple, they were assaulted and sent out, Jayamma accused. </p><p>A meeting in this regard was convened by social welfare department assistant director Manjunath in the presence of DySP Halamurthy, other officials, Gram Panchayat members and Dalit leaders.</p><p>The people were warned of strict legal action against the ban.</p>
