The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday directed the deputy commissioner, Bengaluru Urban, to inspect a civic amenity (CA) site in Girinagar alleged to have been encroached upon by Ramachandrapura Mutt.
The court directed the DC to hold the inspection in the presence of all the stake holders and submit a report if there is any encroachment of the park at the next hearing.
A PIL was filed by M Pavan Prasad, contending that the mutt had encroached upon a CA site adjacent to their mutt.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice P S Dinesh Kumar directed to add the secretary, Urban Development Department, party to the PIL. The bench adjourned the next hearing by eight weeks.
