<p>Bengaluru: Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Tuesday said that Pronab Mohanty, who heads the Special Investigation Team (SIT), met him to discuss his eligibility to serve in the Central government.</p><p>Last month, the Centre released the list of empanelment of Director General-ranked officers to be eligible to serve in the Union Government, which included the name of Mohanty, who is currently the DGP of the Internal Security Division (ISD), Karnataka.</p>.'Govt will decide on replacing Mohanty in SIT probing Dharmasthala case': Parameshwara .<p>“Mohanty will next be the senior-most officer in the state, and hence his empanelment was discussed during the meeting. As of now, a decision [whether he will serve in the Centre] is yet to be made,” Parameshwara said.</p><p>The Home Minister said that nothing related to the alleged findings of human remains in Dharmasthala was discussed.</p>.Dharmasthala mass burial case: Search operation continues.<p>“We didn’t discuss that. I know what has been reported in the media so far. The details [regarding findings in Dharmasthala] will be given by the SIT in their report. Information won’t be shared in bits and pieces,” he added.</p><p>The Karnataka government formed the SIT, headed by Mohanty, on July 19 to probe the alleged mass burials in Dharmasthala. The team also consisted of Deputy Inspector General of Police (Recruitment) MN Anucheth and IPS officer Jitendra Kumar Dayama.</p>
