 The BJP Mahila Morcha will stage a protest in front of the residence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday demanding the arrest of persons responsible for the death of Nandita.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Shobha Karandlaje said that a complaint would be made to the National Commission for Women on the issue.

Sagar bandh 

Meanwhile, District Arya Ediga Community Association has called for Sagar bandh on Wednesday in protest against the incident. The district administration has declared holiday for schools and colleges.

Speaking to mediapersons, Inspector General of Police (Eastern Range), S Parashivamurthy, said that the handwriting in the purported death note matches with that of the girl. 

However, he added that experts would have to confirm it. He said that the autopsy report has confirmed that the girl was not raped.

The IGP said that police were not shielding anyone involved in the incident.
 Karnataka State Women’s Commission Chairman Manjula 

Manasa, speaking to mediapersons, said that she would visit the house of the girl on Wednesday.
