<p>Detailing the project on Tuesday after a meeting of top police officials with Home Minister V S Acharya, Deputy Inspector General of Police Sanjay Sahay Singh said the centrally-funded CCTNS would be IT-enabled storage of records pertaining to all criminal cases and helps tracking cases and criminals. <br /><br />“Efforts are on to bring 14,000 police stations of the country under one roof with 6,000 police officers monitoring it,” he said.<br />The State government has joined hands with the Centre in the Rs 200-crore ambitious project, Singh added.<br /><br />Satellite phones<br />DG & IGP Dr Ajai Kumar Singh clarified that 10 satellite phones found recently at MM Hills did not belong to naxals. <br />The investigation revealed that the phones were used by some researchers working on the hills.
