Errors galore on Mandya Zilla Panchayat website

Former chief minister S M Krishna is a Rajya Sabha member. Mallajamma, K T Srikantegowda, Madhu Madegowda and S M Shankar are still MLCs, according to the Mandya Zilla Panchayat website.

For Mandya Zilla Panchayat, which has gone tech-savvy, with all the Grama Panchayats provided internet facilities and introduction of M-Asthi, a new software that enables farmers to get khatas easily, the glaring errors have come as a surprise.

The term of Mallajamma, K T Srikantegowda, S M Shankar and others has expired about four years ago. But the website still recognises them with the same designation.

Sadly, the website is accessible from any part of the world and those who are not aware of the recent happenings may stick to the details provided on it. However, the website
has been updated on several occasions since the past four years. The details were updated after the Assembly elections two years ago, but is full of errors.

Nagamangala MLA N Chaluvarayaswamy’s name is mentioned as Cheluvaraja Swamy. Similarly, Srirangapatna MLA A B Ramesh appears as A B Ramesh Babu Bandisiddegowda.
If one opens www.zpmandya.kar.nic.in and select elected representatives, one can view the above mentioned errors.
