Football League in Ammathi from April 10

District Football Association and Milan’s Football Club will organise Football League at Kodagu Football Association ground in Ammathi from April 10 to 25, said Association president Nellamakkada Mohan Ayyappa.

The tie-sheet for the tournament was released on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohan Ayyappa said that the players from all the teams should join hands for the success of the tournament. As many as 16 teams have registered for the tournament.

The permission letter from the Football Association should be produced while participating in the tournament. For those who fail to produce the letter, strict disciplinary action will be initiated against such teams. All the team players should adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines, he appealed.

Nagesh, president of the Referee Association of District Football Association said the 16 teams have been divided into four groups.

At the league level, each team will have three matches. The first and second winners in the league level matches will enter the quarter-final.

The quarter-final match will be a knock-out round. The four winning teams in the quarter-final will enter semi-final matches, he said.

The league matches will be held during the weekend.

Group A will have Captains Eleven Palibetta, Vaishnavi F C Maragodu, Rozarian, Gonikoppa and Bhagavathi Youth Club of Halugunda.

Group B will have Universal Ranga Samudra, NYC Kodagarahalli, Shining Birds, Palibetta, Chowdeshwari Youth Club, Ammathi.

Group C will have Sahara CYC, Ontiyangadi, United FC Gaddehalla, Oxford FC, Virajpet and INSFC Guddehosur.

Group D will have Kushalnagar FC, Milan’s FC, Ammathi, Young India, Palibetta and Halligattu FC.
