<p>Sakleshpur (Hassan dist): The Forest department personnel were successful in capturing a wild jumbo that had recently attacked and killed a farmer, at Halasulige village in Sakleshpur taluk on Thursday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Following the death of the farmer, the Forest department launched the operation with help of tamed elephants on Thursday. The tusker, which had created panic among the residents, was successfully rescued on the first day of the operation itself.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Veterinarian Mujeeb and Wasim darted the jumbo, which ran for some distance and then fell unconscious. Later, the veterinarians sprinkled water, nurtured the jumbo and then administered a reversal injection.</p>.65-year-old woman trampled to death by wild elephant in Karnataka's Puttur.<p class="bodytext">The Forest department has planned to relocate the wild tusker. Deputy Conservator of Forests Saurabh Kumar led the operation. Apart from destroying crops, it had attacked one Raju of Hebbanahalli village and severely injured him. Later, it attacked and killed Shanmukha of Bykere village.</p>
