The victims -Sujatha Balakrishna Shetty (36), Sulakshana Bhujanga Shetty (30), her daughter Rishita (8) and car driver Nagesh Badiger (28) - were travelling from Dharwad to Uppunda village of Kundapur taluk to participate in the Shivarathri celebrations. Additional SP V B Gaonkar, DySP M B Nagaraj, CPI Shivanand Chalavadi visited the spot.
