Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday convened a meeting of various stakeholders to discuss their needs in the upcoming Vote on Account for the Budget 2013-14.
Besides seeking the opinion of the stakeholders, Kumaraswamy has promised to raise the issues brought to his notice in the upcoming Budget session.
He held a daylong meeting with the office-bearers of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha, Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association and the Karnataka Contractors’ Association.
It is said that from dealing with land woes to seed and crop loans, matters related to each industry were discussed in detail.
JD(S) workers said the meeting was likely to continue with other organisations over the next three-four days.
