<p>Hubballi: Stating that honey trapping alleged by elected representatives is a shameful issue which has embarrassed all, Labour and District In-charge Minister Santosh Lad said some BJP MLAs had to be suspended from the House as they created drama just for publicity during chief minister's reply.</p><p>Lad, addressing reporters in Hubballi on Sunday, said: "Even after the government clarifying on ordering a high-level inquiry, BJP MLAs created ruckus. I am not defending anything in honey trapping issue. But, when other countries are speaking about issues like interplanetary tourism, we are stuck in honey trapping. Government will conduct a probe, but there are other issues like cash allegedly found in the house of a High Court judge should also be discussed, as BJP used to claim that black money would disappear after the demonetisation," he said. </p><p>BJP MLAs were not interested in CM's reply and created ruckus over honey trapping issue. This (honey trapping issue) is not restricted to Karnataka alone. Had the BJP no other issue like farmers and water supply, he asked, charging that BJP just needs a reason to create ruckus.</p><p>Observing that all parties have concern about the criteria for the delimitation of Lok Sabha seats, Lad said, "South Indian states have controlled population growth, and all think there will be problem for these states if they get less seats. All parties should discuss this matter together."</p><p>Regarding the delay in flyover construction in Hubballi, the minister said efforts are on to convince the contractor and speed up the works through sub-contract. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi blames the state government for everything, he added.</p><p><strong>Dinesh reacts</strong></p><p>Meanwhile, Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao stated that Assembly Speaker's decision of suspending some BJP MLAs was the correct one, as they violated the rules and created ruckus in the House purposely.</p><p>"They did not want chief minister to speak and discuss the budget. Honey trapping is a serious issue. Chief minister and home minister will take suitable steps," he told reporters.</p>
