<p>Bengaluru: Following the hint given by AICC president <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/mallikarjun-kharge">Mallikarjun Kharge</a> about the party’s plans to make changes in party heads at various states, Public Works Department Minister Satish Jarkiholi clarified that he has no role in it.</p><p>A day after his New Delhi visit, the minister was speaking to reporters in the city on Wednesday. “I have nothing to do with the decision of the party high command. When the AICC president has said it all, what else do I have to say,” Jarkiholi said.</p><p>He further said that the high command would decide on whom to appoint next to the top post. “The high command will discuss with chief minister and the present president to take a decision. What role do we have in it?” he asked. </p>.Appointment of new PCC chiefs soon: Mallikarjun Kharge.<p>However, Jarkiholi said that he had met AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal and Randeep Singh Surjewala, but refused to reveal the details of the discussions with them. “It is natural that they gather information about the state government,” the minister added.</p><p>When asked about appointing a leader from ‘Ahinda’ as party president in Karnataka, the minister said he alone cannot decide about it. “Both the discussion and decision will be done at the high command level and nothing at our level,” he said.</p><p>The state minister has even backed senior Congress MLC B K Hariprasad’s statement that the Congress has drowned in the guarantees, while overlooking other matters. “He said nothing wrong. Along with guarantees, we also need to look at fulfilling the promises made in the manifesto,” Jarkiholi said.</p>
