JD(S) plea to suspend engineer

Speaking to presspersons, he said the previous Deputy Commissioner had withheld the bill pertaining to the poor quality of work undertaken on I G Road. However, the new DC has okayed the bill amounting to Rs 26,36,438 on the following day of taking charge.

The road work is undertaken in the name of Shanthe Gowda. MLA Shanthe Gowda should take the moral responsibility for the poor quality of work and should tender resignation, he urged.

The CMC opposition members had complained to the Lokayukta and Deputy Commissioner on the poor quality of road work, he said and added that he will complain to the Lokayukta on the corruption in CMC and poor quality of work on I G Road. 

There is shortage of fertilisers in Chikmagalur. Urea and potash are available in the district.
The officials and elected representatives should come forward to solve the problems of fertilisers and sowing seeds. Additional PU colleges should be started in Chikmagalur, he added.
