Jumbos damage coracles

This incident has created panic among villagers. They charged that the district administration has failed to find out a permanent solution for this problem. On Tuesday night, the elephants damaged 20 coracles that were kept near the bund of Nagathihalli tank. Besides, the pachyderms have damaged amaged ragi, coconut crops in and around Jajur village.

MLA K M Shivalingegowda alleged that the officials of forest department are not taking serious measures to end the menace of wild elephants. He has threatened to hold a protest in front of forest office if the demands are not by the government.
