<p>Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the 'Library for Every Home' project by the Kannada Book Authority at his home office 'Krishna'. He also released Kumaravyasa Bharata volumes published by the authority.</p><p>The first library of this project was established at the Chief Minister's home office, and the library was inaugurated by senior litterateur HP Nagarajaiah (Hampana).</p><p>Chairman of the Kannada Development Authority Purushottam Bilimale unveiled the library plaque.</p>.<p><strong>Libraries in one lakh homes</strong></p><p>This project has set a target to establish libraries in one lakh homes across the state during the current committee period. Its main objective is to develop a love for books in today's youth by building a small library in every home to save the fading book culture.</p><p>The authority coordinates with those who want to start a library in their homes and take literary figures of that area to their homes to inaugurate the library and issue a certificate. The authority also does publicity for these libraries.</p>.Centre betrays Karnataka by meagre allocation of funds: CM Siddaramaiah.<p><strong>Kumaravyasa Bharata book launch</strong></p><p>On this occasion, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also launched the volumes of Kumaravyasa Bharata books published by the Kannada Book Authority.</p><p>The Minister of Kannada and Culture had announced last year at the Golden Jubilee function in Gadag that the seminal poem Kumaravyasa Bharata would be made available to readers at a very low price. Accordingly, the Book Authority has released the publication of Kumaravyasa Bharata in two volumes, with the price of both these volumes fixed at Rs 500.</p><p>Minister of Kannada and Culture Shivaraj Tangadagi, Department Secretary N Manjula, Department Director Dharani Devi Malagatti, Book Authority Chairman Manasa, Kannada Literature Chairman Mahesh Joshi, Book Authority Administrator Kiran Singh and other committee members were present on the occasion.</p>
