KPCC President R V Deshpande told reporters here that deployment of Central forces during the protest from September six was sought as it was apprehended that the agitation might create law and order problem, communal divide and constitutional crisis.
The ruling party was embarking upon the stir to implement its "hidden agenda" of creating tension and not out of love for cattle, he alleged.
Deshpande said his party would also undertake a campaign to "educate" people on the socio-economic ramifications the legisation would have if implemented.
The Congress has already called on President Pratibha Patil in Delhi pleading her not to give consent to the Bill.
